Franconia > Project Linus Blanket Making

Franconia’s fourth graders recently made and donated 32 fleece blankets to Project Linus. The recipients of Project Linus Blankets are infants and children through age nineteen. These blankets are collected and distributed to children in local hospitals, shelters, or anywhere that a child might be in need of a comforting blanket.

Parents generously donated and prepared all of the fleece material. During our Valentine’s Day Social, the fourth grade “blanketeers” gathered in the cafeteria to finish the blankets by knotting all the fringes to make the borders. The students did a great job and were thrilled to be part of this worthwhile service project.
