At Franconia Elementary, our role is to help our students excel academically and to cultivate responsible and respectful citizens. We are committed to fostering cheerful, creative, and safe classrooms where students are joyfully reading, writing, problem solving, and persevering! Our goal is to empower students to be enthusiastically engaged in their learning.

This year, Franconia Elementary started Coffee Fridays. The staff in Mrs. Agosti’s room work with students throughout the week to prepare for Coffee Fridays. Teachers and staff place their orders. Then, the students organize, prepare, and deliver the coffees each week. At the end of the month, they even drop off a bill! The students look forward to delivering the coffee and are met with warm smiles and conversations. It has been a great way for students to put into practice their social skills. The faculty and staff love Coffee Fridays and look forward to it each week!

Five of the books that an elementary student reads in the summer can count toward their goal of reading 25 – 30 books in the next school year. In order to meet the standard for proficient readers, students need to read at least 25 books each year. See the Elementary Summer Reading List for Students Entering 1st through 5th Grade in 2024-2025.
